Darth Vader has captured Princess Leia, but she sends a secret message, containing the technical plans to the death star, with a droid named R2D2. This message is accidentally intercepted by an individual on the planet Tatooine named Luke Skywalker while Luke Skywalker is working on R2D2.However, later on, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi ends up rescuing Luke Skywalker from a Tusken Raider attack after R2D2 escapes from Luke Skywalker in order to find Ben Kenobi in one of the most ironic paradoxes ever known. Next, Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi hire spice smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca to take them to Bail Organa's homeworld of Alderaan.
The heroes arrive at the Alderaan star system and discover Alderaan has been completely obliterated. They are all captured by the Empire and taken aboard the death star, which is responsible for annihilating Alderaan. Soon, the heroes rescue Princess Leia, who was being held prisoner on the death star and the escaped heroes take the death star plans back to the Rebel Alliance at a hidden base on Yavin 4.
The Rebels attack the death star, which has tracked the heroes to the Rebel base, and by following the will of the Force Luke Skywalker blows up the death star with the weapons of his X Wing star fighter. Princess Leia and the Rebel Alliance award Han Solo and Luke Skywalker with medals of honor.
